Moore takes home title at Meyo Invitational

The Iowa women’s track and field team competed in the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame this past weekend. No team scores were kept.

Raven Moore starred for the Hawkeyes, taking home the title in the 200 meters with a time of 24.30 seconds. The mark was a personal best for Moore, and it ranks ninth all-time at Iowa. Moore also placed fourth in the 60 meters, placing fourth with a time of 7.64 seconds.

Freshman MonTayla Holder continued to improve, besting her previous college high of 56.11 seconds with a time of 55.33 seconds in the 400 meters. The time ranks sixth in Iowa history.

Freshman Kaitlyn Nelson set a personal best in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:12:87.

The Iowa track program will split up and compete in the Cyclone Classic in Ames, the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., and the Husky Invitational in Seattle on Friday.
