An estimated 4,855 University of Iowa graduates and two honorary degrees — for former Iowa Rep. Richard Myers and alumnus and benefactor Jerre Stead — will be awarded in the spring 2011 commencement ceremonies.

The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences will host its ceremony at 9 a.m. on May 14 at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.

The College of Pharmacy commencement is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 12. Patrick Keefe, a former executive of Omnicare Inc., will be the speaker.

Three colleges are scheduled to host ceremonies on May 13. The UI School of Management will hold its ceremony at 10 a.m.
