Rain cancels softball game

Rain washed out the Iowa softball team’s contest with Illinois State at Pearl Field on Wednesday.

The Hawkeyes were scheduled to play a 4 p.m. game with the Redbirds, but inclement weather caused the cancellation.

The game will not be rescheduled.

It seems as if the only thing that can stop the Hawkeyes right now is the inclement weather. Iowa has been hot in both the batter’s box and the pitcher’s circle.

The Hawkeyes have won five of their last six games, and they are riding a two-game winning streak.

Iowa won’t return to Pearl Field until April 3 against Indiana.
