Despite a 3-1 loss to No. 1 Nebraska, the Hawkeye volleyball team had a historic night as it broke its single-match attendance record.

“Today we just blew through the attendance record here at Carver,” Iowa head coach Bond Shymansky said in a release. “I’m really thankful for all the Hawkeye fans who came out and supported us tonight, and I’m grateful for all the people that made that happen. We want to take advantage of a great home stand here, and they are helping us do that.”

Senior Loxley Keala recorded her fifth double-double of the year with 23 assists and 10 digs. Junior Jess Janota added 7 kills with a .400 hitting percentage. Senior Lauren Brobst and sophomore Reghan Coyle both tallied 7 kills as well.
