Head coach Tracey Griesbaum’s Iowa field-hockey squad débuted the 2013 season ranked No. 13 in the National Field Hockey Coaches’ Association poll. The Hawkeyes have been ranked for 22-straight weeks in the polls dating back to Sept. 6, 2011.

Other Big Ten teams in the Top 20 include Penn State (6), Michigan (9), and Northwestern (11).

After a 2-0 preseason, the Hawks will begin the season on the road at Bucknell on Friday. The first games at Grant Field will be Sept. 7-8, when Iowa hosts the annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge.
