Local Iowa City band Chasing Shade will play at 7 p.m. Friday at the Blue Moose, 211 Iowa Ave.
Admission is $5. Opening the event will be Bermuda Report and Drew Witter.
The band is composed of Griffen Harris, Tim Cigrand, and Elliot Beenk. The trio takes influence from a variety of musicians including Bon Iver, Local Natives, and Jack Johnson.
This past year the group has been trying to expand its fan base through playing the Iowa City area.
The group also expects to release its first album.
