Future Hawkeye named McDonald’s All-American

A future Iowa women’s basketball player has been named a 2010-11 McDonald’s High School All-American.

Samantha Logic, a guard from Racine Case, Wis., is one of 24 high-school seniors who will compete in the 10th-annual McDonald’s All-American game on March 30 at the United Center in Chicago. ESPNU will televise the game live.

Logic is the third McDonald’s All-American recruited to Iowa by Hawkeye head coach Lisa Bluder — Lindsay Richards and Johanna Solverson both received the honor in 2002.

ESPNHoopGurlz ranks Logic as the No. 10 recruit in the 2011 class. She is averaging 13.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 6.5 assists, and 3.3 steals for Racine Case High.
