Miranda Davis is a first-year student at the University of Iowa majoring in English and Creative Writing with a minor in Psychology. This is her first year writing for the Daily Iowan as a news reporter. She is also the Nebraska Youth Poet Laureate and a senior editor for Mollusk Literary Magazine.
