Police charged an Iowa City man Thursday with two counts of third-degree sexual abuse.

According to a release by the Iowa City police, investigators contend that 25-year-old Charles Everett Oleary committed a sex act with a 13-year-old female on Wednesday and on at least one other occasion.

The release said the alleged sex act occurred at a Valley Avenue residence. According to investigators, Oleary is not associated with the address and does not have a permanent address.

Oleary is charged with third-degree sex abuse, a Class C felony punishable by 10 years in prison and a fine of $10,000.
