The seventh annual Lake MacBride Fattire Classic was held near Solon at the Lake MacBride Golf Course on Saturday.
The race raised $11,000 for the Solon Centennial Lions Club. The funds will be used to give back to the Solon community.
The temperature at the start of the race was around 30 degrees, with sun and some wind. Riders usually face unforgiving conditions with snow, ice, and mud.
Brian Fitzpatrick, an event organizer said, “Just seeing smiles on people’s faces, just enjoying the trails that they get to be part of, and getting together with friends and just enjoying the whole experience is the coolest part to get to be able to do that.”
Chris Hansen won the race with a time of two hours and 11 minutes.
