Missouri man charged with damaging cars

A Missouri man was charged with damaging cars in Iowa City. 

Michael Dacunos, 44, was charged Oct. 4 with two counts of second-degree criminal mischief and one count of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

According to the arrest affidavit, Dacunos was allegedly seen jumping on cars and breaking their windows in a gas station parking lot on Gilbert Street in Iowa City. 

One car reportedly has approximately $5,000 worth of damages. Dacunos claims the witnesses were lying.

Fourth-degree criminal mischief is a serious misdemeanor and second-degree criminal mischief is a Class-D felony.
