A Coralville man has been accused of a second domestic-abuse assault.

Carl Host Jr., 41, was charged Sept. 8 with domestic-abuse assault.

According to a Coralville police complaint, officers were dispatched to a Coralville residence, where both Host and the woman live, after receiving reports of a dispute in progress.

When officers arrived, the woman accused Host of pulling her hair, causing her pain. She also reportedly had a bruise on her right arm.

The defendant has a domestic-abuse assault conviction from Jan. 24, 2006.

Second-offense domestic-abuse assault is an aggravated misdemeanor.
