The Iowa City Farmers’ Market has postponed “Taste of Market” because of the current heat wave.
Taste of Market was originally scheduled for today. It has been rescheduled for Sep. 18 from 5-7 p.m.
The event will offer free samples of in-season fruits, vegetables, and baked goods provided by Farmers’ Market vendors.
Kol Shira, a music group that performs a fusion of music and rhythms from around the world, has also been rescheduled for Sep. 18.
The National Weather Service has put Iowa City and Johnson County under a heat advisory until 7 p.m. today.
