Students, faculty, and staff in the Iowa City School District schools will once again get a breather from current summer heat today.
All 25 schools in the district will dismiss two hours early again because of the heat.
The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Johnson County that will remain in effect until 10 p.m. today.
Today’s high is expected to be 97 degrees with a heat index as high as 104, according to the National Weather Service.
