Iowa’s voter registration is in for a shakeup.

Beginning today, county auditors across Iowa’s 99 counties will start using new, revised voter-registration and absentee-request forms.

The new Iowa Mail-In Voter Registration Application is now available on each county’s auditor’s website.

The new forms may be filled in online, but they still must be printed and mailed or delivered to the respective auditor’s office.

Johnson County voters wishing to update their information should mail or bring in their voter registration form to the Auditor’s Office in the Johnson County Administration Building, 913 S. Dubuque St..

Johnson County will continue to accept registrations and absentee requests on old forms that were revised Jan. 1, 2008.

Individual forms are available at the Johnson County Auditor’s Office for five cents each, and officials will provide up to five forms free upon request.
