The U.S. Postal Service will hold a public meeting at City Hall next week regarding a proposed project for the Iowa City location.

Officials hope to gather public input and discuss a project for the Iowa City site from 10-11 a.m. on Aug. 7 in Emma Harvat Hall, 410 E. Washington St.

According to a city press release, the current Post office Space in the Federal Building is too large for the needs of the Iowa City office. The U.S Postal Service wants to vacate the current location and relocate to a smaller space.
