A Mount Auburn, Iowa, man has been charged after allegedly stealing a motorcycle.
Kenneth Burnell, 34, was charged on July 15 with first-degree theft.
According to a police complaint, Burnell was with the owner on June 29 when he locked the motorcycle in a barn. Shortly after the fowner left the property, Burnell called a person and told him he was leaving via “vroom vroom.”
The motorcycle was reportedly located on July 1 at Burnell’s brother-in-law’s house, who told police Burnell had brought it there and began to paint and disassemble it. The owner told police the motorcycle is worth approximately $30,000.
First-degree theft is a Class-C felony.
