A Kalona man has been charged after allegedly threating Johnson County officials.
Leo Schrock, 78, was charged Monday with going armed with intent.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, Johnson County Secondary Roads was conducting work near Schrock’ property.
While Secondary Road crews were working, Schrock screamed at them to leave his property, before threatening to retrieve his gun and force action.
Although workers were never physically on his property, the complaint said, he went inside his home, grabbed his rifle, and returned outside.
Going armed with intent is a Class-D felony.
