The Iowa City city councilors will hold a public hearing on plans for the remodeling of the fire station/police station.

According to the proposal, the project involves updating and remodeling different areas in each station.

The estimated cost of construction is roughly $279,000, and it will be funded with general obligation bonds.

The councilors will hold the public hearing at their next meeting, May 1 and vote on a resolution approving project details.
