A University of Iowa student and star tennis player has been charged with keeping a disorderly house.
According to an Iowa City police complaint, Sonja Molnar, 21, 600 S. Capitol No. 201, was charged early Monday.
Police officials were sent to Molnar’s residence because of loud noise coming from an apartment on the second floor, the complaint read.
Police officials allegedly knocked on the door of Molnar’s apartment numerous times, and it appeared that the people inside of the apartment could not hear the knocks because of the volume of the music.
According to the complaint, when the occupants of the apartment heard the knocking they had a conversation about whether they should answer the door, and the police official said they heard someone say, "just act like you’re 21." Molnar, who is 21, allegedly opened the door and was instructed to have everyone leave, and police officials witnessed 20 subjects leaving the residence.
