The University of Iowa’s interview process for a new dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences campus ended as of Tuesday.
The UI will decide among three candidates, following the withdrawal of the fourth candidate, over the next two to three weeks.
The final candidates include University of South Carolina Department of Physics/Astronomy head Chaden Djalali, Ohio State University History Department head Peter L. Hahn, and University of Missouri Professor of English Patricia Okker.
The candidate visits were scheduled from March 29-April 13. The appointment process began July 1 following the announcement of current Dean Linda Maxson’s resignation.
The new dean will oversee more than 16,000 undergraduate students and more than 2,000 graduate students.
