An Iowa City man was sentenced for distribution of child pornography this week.
Ryan Felts, 27, was sentenced to 60 months in prison for distribution of child pornography on March 23, according to a press release from the U.S. Department of Justice.
According to the release, Felts accessed a chat room on a pornography website and posted several images of child pornography.
A report said police searched Felt’s residence and interviewed him at which point he allegedly admitted to posting the child pornography online.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the Iowa Crimes Against Children Task Force, and the Iowa City police. The case was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
