A local man was sentenced to 145 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine according to a Department of Justice press release.
Antonio Nathaniel Martin, 32, of Iowa City was sentenced March 16 by District Judge John Jarvey. He must also serve 10 years of supervised release and pay $100 to the Crime Victims Fund, according to the release.
Martin entered a guilty plea in federal court to conspiring to distribute at least 280 grams of crack cocaine from July 2010 through Nov. 4, 2010, and possession of a firearm.
According to the release, Martin admitted to conspiring to distribute crack cocaine with four different people.
The case was investigated by numerous law-enforcement agencies, including the Iowa City police and the Iowa Department of Public Safety Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
