A list of legislative priorities compiled by the Metropolitan Coalition is set to be placed on the Iowa City City Council’s agenda for the Dec. 6 work session.
The priorities include diversifying revenue sources, pension-system improvements, preservation of TIF, extension of the 6 percent historic tax credit, adequate funding for public transportation, and reforming the Supreme Court co-op tax decision.
Legislative priorities will be addressed during the upcoming legislative session, when the city’s new lobbyist will represent Iowa City at the capital.
