A Cedar Rapids man was arrested after he allegedly attempted to sexually assault his daughter’s roommate, Coralville police said.

According to police, 48-year-old Brent Michael Humble made “lewd” comments toward the woman and another young female in their Second Street, Coralville, apartment on June 16.

Reports said Humble grabbed the woman by the neck and forced her head into his lap in an attempt to have sex with her. He also grabbed the woman’s breast and buttocks, despite her attempts to push him away.

Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse without injury is an aggravated misdemeanor punishable by up to two years in prison and a maximum fine of $6,250.
