A North Liberty man was arrested after allegedly sexually abusing a sleeping woman.
Thomas Ray Auner, 49, was charged June 30 with third-degree sexual abuse.
According to a complaint from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, the alleged incident occurred June 26 around 10:30 p.m. The unnamed victim fell asleep on the couch in a camper.
She awoke to find the codefendant having sex with her, and Auner admitted under Miranda to digitally penetrating the woman while she was sleeping, deputies said.
Third-degree sexual abuse is a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.
