A wanted Coralville man was arrested after leading police on a chase through the Southeast Side of Iowa City more than three years ago.
Bradley Kane McDannald, 38, was arrested June 24, after eluding police in 2007.
Reports said McDannald was wanted after Iowa City police initiated a traffic stop as he pulled out in his blue Ford Focus in 2007. Though officers wore department-issued uniforms and drove marked patrol vehicles, McDannald allegedly sped up.
Police said he “ran red lights and stop signs and took specific ‘deliberate evasive actions’ to avoid vehicles.” McDannald’s speeds were often in excess of the speed limit by 25 mph or more, according to reports.
The chase took place along 11 roads, until McDannald allegedly left his vehicle and fled on foot.
