Iowa City police have charged a Chicago man after he allegedly touched a child inappropriately.
According to a police report, the alleged victim’s mother told officials that her 7-year-old daughter told her Walker was "a bad person." The mother said when she asked her daughter why, she said Walker allegedly touched her private parts with his hand and it hurt.
The daughter also told her mother Walker allegedly got on top of her 5-year-old sister.
The report said Walker allegedly told the 7-year-old he would kill her if she told anyone. The mother told police she believed the event happened after school on Dec. 14, 2010.
Lascivious acts with a child is a Class C felony, punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a maximum fine of $10,000.
Iowa City police Sgt. Denise Brotherton said Walker was arrested in Illinois, but he has not yet been transported to the Johnson County Jail.
