A visit from the Joint Commission — an group that inspects health-care organizations around the country — gave the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics favorable marks, according to a presentation given during the state Board of Regents meeting Thursday.
Kenneth Kates, the UIHC’s chief executive officer, told regents the hospital performed "really well."
He said the commission listed 17 findings — a relatively small number — and 14 have already been corrected.
