A local man found guilty of third-degree sexual abuse was sentenced Nov. 12.
Andre White, 39, was sentenced to 10 years in prison and a $1,000 fine after he was found guilty of third-degree sexual abuse on Sept. 24.
White will also be required to register as a sex offender, court documents said.
The sentence comes after a Jan. 22 incident at a Lone Tree residence, where White forced a woman to have sex with him by holding a knife to her throat.
Police records also said he threatened the lives of the victim and her son if they told anyone.
White’s lawyer filed a motion for a new trial Nov. 13, but 6th District Judge Paul Miller denied the move.
