On Thursday, the McDonald’s on First Avenue in Coralville presented the University of Iowa Dance Marathon with a check for $1,000.

Dance Marathon has helped raise more than $8.6 million for pediatric cancer patients and their families who recieve care at the UI Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Network since 1995.

Patients and their families from the Children’s Hospital along with students from the Dance Marathon were present to accept the check.
