Governor-elect Terry Branstad announced a handful of key appointments on Wednesday:
• David Roederer will be the chairman of Branstad’s transition team. Roederer worked on Branstad’s staff during the Republican’s first stint as governor in the 1980s and ’90s. He also serves on the Iowa Chamber Alliance, a pro-business group based in Des Moines.
• Jeff Boeyink will serve as Branstad’s chief of staff after the inauguration early next year. Boeyink has been serving as the campaign manager for Branstad’s 2010 gubernatorial run. He has also served as the Republican Party of Iowa’s executive director.
• Tim Albrecht will take over as the communications director in the governor’s office. Albrecht was the spokesman for Branstad’s gubernatorial campaign.
