The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man and woman for allegedly stealing a tractor mower.
Lori Diane Bollinger, 39, 206 Blackfoot Trail, was charged Oct. 29 with second-degree theft and Todd Bailey, 37, 206 Blackfoot Trail, was charged Oct. 29 with second-degree theft and third-degree burglary.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Bailey allegedly entered a barn on Oct. 17 to remove a John Deere lawn tractor with a 54-inch mowing deck. Bailey had no right to enter the barn or possess the tractor, deputies said. The tractor model was valued at $4,000. Bailey reportedly towed the lawn tractor to his residence with help from Bollinger. Deputies said Bollinger assisted Bailey in hiding the lawn tractor.
Bailey reportedly admitted she believed the lawn tractor was stolen after it was found on the property.
Second-degree theft is a Class D felony punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $7,500.
