The relocation of the School of Music is not on the agenda for the April 29 state Board of Regents meeting, despite initial expectations.
At the regents’ monthly meeting in February, regents gave University of Iowa officials approval to move ahead with negotiations for the potential location downtown.
While officials were asked to come back before the regents at this month’s meeting, Regent Robert Downer said the process of lining up property and other planning is still in progress.
“My impression is the pieces haven’t fallen into place to the extent that a report can be made,” he said.
