Marshawn Gunn is a fifth-year student at the University of Iowa in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Prior to coming to the University of Iowa, he attended Iowa State University, where he studied Meteorology. After two years in Ames, Marshawn changed his major and transferred to the University of Iowa. He’s learned a lot about how to write, structure, and convey his stories throughout his time at the university. He had the opportunity to intern at KCCI Channel 8 News in Des Moines, IA, over the summer of 2024 where he was a reporter intern, creating his own packages and practicing being an MMJ. With one semester left at Iowa, he hopes to become an even better reporter through working for DITV.
