The Stanley Museum of Art invited media members to tour the new museum, as well as interview artist Odili Donald Odita, whose mural currently resides in the first-floor lobby, and Stanley Museum of Art Director Lauren Lessing.

After the flood of 2008, which heavily damaged the original museum, the museum’s collection has resided in other museums across Iowa and the country until the museum reopened.

Several classrooms will be available next fall for professors to use in the museum. The museum is slated to open on August 26.
