After playing spoiler once again, the Hawkeyes had plenty to say following their victory.

Offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs on carrying Floyd of Rosedale

“Levi Paulsen was helping out trying to push people away, and I was like, ‘Move, move,’ just trying to get to the locker room. I got a lot of people yelling my name, so I kind of feel bad now I didn’t recognize anybody. I got in a couple selfies, though, so maybe somebody will send me something.”

Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz on if he’s taken a picture with Floyd of Rosedale

“No, that would be weird. I sure like looking at him, though.”

Wide receiver Ihmir-Smith Marsette on fans storming the field

“It was crazy. I wasn’t even in the swarm. Freshman year, being in that swarm is pretty tough. Everybody’s grabbing on you and stuff. I just made sure I stayed on the sidelines.”

Wide receiver Nico Ragaini on breaking a tackle to score

“Well, really, in the receivers’ room, everybody’s been making fun of me, saying I don’t break tackles or make moves. I had it in my head today that I was going to break a tackle or make a little move, so when I saw the opportunity to get by the guy and score the touchdown, I knew I had to take it.”

Cornerback Riley Moss on intercepting the game-sealing pass

“Honestly, it was like a dream come true. It’s what you dream about as a kid. I always dreamt about playing at Iowa, and I always dreamt about my backyard — messing around with your friends, last play of the game, seal the win. It happened out there, and it was amazing.”
