One-on-one with Hawkeye wide receiver Nick Easley

Football reporter Jordan Zuniga sat down with Hawkeye wide receiver Nick Easley to tackle some of life’s pressing questions.

Daily Iowan: Is a hot dog a sandwich?

Nick Easley: Yes, because it’s between bread.

 

DI: Best sandwich place in Iowa City?

Easley: Nodo, I love Nodo.

 

DI: Go-to shower song?

Easley: “Right Above It,” by Lil Wayne.

 

DI: Favorite home-cooked meal?

Easley: I really like when my dad grills steaks and chicken.

 

DI: Best cook on the team?

Easley: The Paulsens — they’ve done some fun stuff. They did a crawfish boil last year.

 

DI: Last concert you went to?

Easley: I went to Drake and Future a few summers ago.

 

DI: Favorite Thanksgiving food?

Easley: Everything.

 

DI: What’s the best part about being a Hawkeye?

Easley: Just the pride in this program, playing for a good coach like Coach Ferentz. It’s a dream come true.

 

DI: If you didn’t play football what sport would you play?

Easley: I wish I could play basketball. Unfortunately, my height has limited me.

 

DI: Favorite athlete?

Easley: I was a big fan of Kobe Bryant growing up, so I’d say him.
