The Rose Oaks apartment complex, 2401 US-6, Iowa City, is kicking its tenants to the curb.
The building needs major repairs from the ground up, forcing its current residents out.
Early last week, current tenets received a letter from the complex explaining their plans.
“Our goal is to go in there and replace all of those areas that are in serious need,” director of operations Reggie Reed said. “And also those that need an upgrade, aesthetic qualities of the property and just make it a first class facility for renters.”
Rose Oaks has been in contact with Johnson County Affordable Homes Coalition to see what they can do to help current tenants look for a place to live, Reed said.
