Last Thursday night, the University of Iowa’s Campus Activities Board hosted a lip sync battle, inspired by the Lip Sync Battle series hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
Students gathered in Currier Hall to compete. To move onto the next round, students had to pick a song, perform it, and be chosen by the audience’s level of applause to advance.
The first place winner, UI freshman Carter Stigge, was awarded a new tablet.
“It feels pretty good,” he said. “I got some great prizes, but pride is probably where it’s at.”
