Former Mount Mercy head coach Desi Druschel has been named Iowa’s baseball programs director of operations and director of Iowa baseball camps.

Druschel won 172 games in nine seasons with the Mustangs and advanced to the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics

“We are excited to have Desi as our new director of baseball operations,” Iowa head coach Rick Heller said in a release. “He brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to the position. Desi is a hard worker who has a great passion for the game. We are all looking forward to having Desi on board.”
