Iowa men’s gymnastics will travel to the Twin Cities to take on No. 6 Minnesota in its final meet of the regular season.
Last time, Minnesota defeated Iowa and Nebraska in a meet in Carver-Hawkeye. This time, Iowa hopes to exact some revenge.
“We need to beat Minnesota. That’s hands-down the primary focus,” head coach JD Reive said. “The only way that will happen is if we get at least the same hits as last week and add some on pommel horse.”
The Hawkeyes are coming off arguably their most successful meet this season in the Arnold Classic, in which they finished second and took down No. 3 Ohio State. The meet was the first of the new 5-up, 5-count format which doesn’t drop any of their scores as in previous meets.
