An Iowa City man has been accused of possessing marijuana in his car.
Andaman Rosse, 18, was charged Oct. 23 with possession/delivery of marijuana and possession or distribution without a tax stamp.
According to a University of Iowa police complaint, an officer stopped Rosse’s vehicle and cited him for having darkly tinted windows.
The officer reportedly smelled marijuana, and he conducted a search. He allegedly found a black case containing 51.9 grams of marijuana in bags. He also reportedly had $915 in cash.
The car also had various items of paraphernalia such as bongs and pipes. There was also a box with a label containing Rosse’s address on it.
Both passengers filled out witness reports stating they saw Rosse putting these items in the trunk.
Possession/delivery of marijuana and possession or distribution without a tax stamp are Class-D felonies.
