A Missouri woman has been accused of having a lighter and tobacco in jail.
Diane Thompson, 25, was charged Oct. 18 with possession of contraband in a correctional facility.
According to Johnson County Sheriff’s Office complaint, deputies noticed a strong smell of smoke in the hallway.
Officials determined that Thompson had tobacco and a lighter while in jail. She later admitted to bringing these items to jail.
Possession of contraband in a correctional facility is a Class-D felony.
