A hearing on a protective order against a former University of Iowa professor has been set.
Associate Dean Lois Geist had previously filed a motion against former Professor Malik Juweid. She alleges that Juweid harassed her on numerous occasions, according to online documents. An opinion that was shared by a UI panel report, which found that Juweid “did not work within the bounds of that required collegiality.”
UI President Sally Mason then followed the panel’s recommendation and fired Juweid from tenured faculty.
The hearing on Geist’s protective order is set for Sept. 10 at 3 p.m.
