The electronica/hip-hop/alternative rock band Limbs will perform at the Blue Moose Tap House, 211 Iowa Ave., at 9 p.m. Friday.
The band — featuring Ty James, Nick Jenkins, Alex Fischels, Travis Patten, and Keith Garnant — is a collaboration among many different sounds.
Blue Moose general manager Gody Haaf said he is excited about the Limbs returning to the Blue Moose.
"Limbs has played here a few times," he said. "I saw them pretty early on, and the best thing for me was just watching them progress. When I first saw them, a lot of their songs weren’t complete, and even the last couple times they’ve played here, they’ve added 10 full-length songs in their repertoire. Its always a different lineup here."
While the style of music is different from a lot of other bands featured in Iowa City, Haaf said, he thinks the audience will have a positive response to it.
"For a venue such as us, where we do a variant between genres but for what currently is on the market in town, they have a little bit more variance in things," he said. "It’s really a collaboration of a lot of different elements, the freestyling — all the members that play instruments have all been in accomplished bands before. You just have that good mix of hip-hop/rock, and all those elements mix together."
Admission is $5.
