A North Liberty man has been accused of hitting a person in the face with his hand, which was in a cast.
Dusten Kemp, 26, was charged Sunday with assault causing bodily injury.
According to a Johnson County Sheriff’s Office complaint, the accuser said Kemp was arguing with him and began punching him and hitting him with his hand.
Officers spoke with Kemp’s father, who reportedly witnessed the altercation, and he said Kemp hit the victim several times with his fist, the complaint said.
The complaint said Kemp had swelling on his face and a cut on his hand.
Assault causing bodily injury is a serious misdemeanor.
