A North Liberty hasd been accused of committing a third-offense OWI.
Jeffrey Petoletti, 49, was charged June 22 with third-offense OWI and driving while license denied or revoked.
According to a North Liberty police complaint, Petoletti was stopped by police officials for registration and registration showed as a revoked status. When officers approached the vehicle, a strong smell of alcohol came from Petoletti.
Pettoletti admitted consuming three beers and one shot and was unsteady on his feet when exiting the vehicle, the complaint said.
Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
Driving while license denied or revoked is considered a serious misdemeanor.
