The Iowa City City Council will consider a resolution June 19 establishing an ad hoc diversity committee to study city operations as they relate to minority populations.
The resolution would establish a seven-member diversity committee.
The Councilors passed a resolution of intent May 15 to establish the ad hoc committee and voted June 5 to create it.
The committee will be responsible for studying the operation of the city’s transit system and law enforcement, according to city documents.
