The Iowa City Public Library will begin offering free Iowa City Transit bus rides to children today.
Children through grade 12 may ride the Summer Library Bus — a joint effort between the Public Library and the Transit Department to promote children’s reading habits over the summer.
The Summer Library Bus will operate Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Aug. 9.
Ride & Read bus passes are available at the Public Library; children are limited to two passes per week.
